Found My Love has been out for a few days now. It's number 12 on the Siren M/F Best Sellers list and has already received 3 five star ratings! Thank you all so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the Learning to Love series!
Here is one of the reviews for you!
**5 out of 5 Hearts from Cariad Books.**
I was anxiously awaiting this release & can happily say I loved it. I started reading at approximately 10:45pm, thinking I'll read a few chapters & call it a night. I should've known better. After experiencing all kinds of feels, I realized it was almost 2am, I was crying (I'm not saying why, but my heart broke over it), & the book is finished. This is my third book from Alison, the third in this series in fact, & each book has impacted me the same way. I start & I just can't put them down until I see "The End." I get sucked into this world & can't stop because I have to know what happens with the couple & won't be satisfied until I've read the whole book. That is my kind of author.
This is the story of Chase, Theresa, & Katie. Chase, Seth's (book one hero) friend & business partner, & Theresa, Abbey's (book one heroine) friend & coworker, met at Seth & Abbey's engagement party. Chase was immediately drawn to Theresa & wanted to get to know her better. Katie, her seven year old daughter, also immediately captures his heart. Theresa is a single mother & has been one for Katie's entire life. Kyle, Katie's father, has never been father of the year material *the song Loser by Beck runs through my mind* & continually disappoints Katie with the lack of follow through on his promises. Theresa & Kyle were never married, & after Kyle missed Katie's birth, it wasn't long before Theresa broke up with him. However, the appearance of Chase in Theresa & Katie's life makes a difference in the amount of attention Kyle gives his daughter. *cue Hey Jealousy by the Gin Blossoms. Yes, you're welcome for today's earworm. LOL*
Chase knows he has trust issues thanks to an ex-girlfriend who used him for his money, yet he wants to see where things lead with Theresa, because he's so drawn to her. He truly cares for her & adores her daughter, Katie. Theresa also has trust issues due to her experience with her ex, Kyle, yet is attracted to Chase, feels safe with him, & loves how he is with her daughter. As Chase & Theresa learn to trust each other, their love for each other, & Chase's for Katie & vice versa, grows every day. But there's outside forces that are disrupting their happiness. Chase & Theresa must deal with Kyle as he tries to create trouble because Theresa has a new man, a real man, in her life & Katie adores him. Plus, Theresa is dealing with the serious illness of a family member & Chase is right by her side every step of the way, proving again & again that she can count on him, that he's all in, because Theresa & Katie are it for him.
I highly recommend this book, this series, this author. I was immediately hooked with her debut book & each subsequent book has only strengthened my fangirling. I'm eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. I enjoyed revisiting with Seth & Abbey (recently returned from their honeymoon), Sean & Tracey (celebrating an engagement and some other happy news *wink*), watching Chase & Theresa fall in love, & I believe Michael (Abbey's bodyguard from book one), has found his one in Sylvia. (Psst...she has a history with one member of the group & I loved what their connection is. It cracked me up.)
On a side note, I'd stated in a previous review about the lack of contractions. While it didn't detract at all from the story, it was a little unusual because we all use contractions in our everyday lives. I'd also stated that I was looking forward to watching this author grow in confidence in herself and in finding her voice. While there's a couple things that could use some polish (for lack of a better word), such as condensing certain things, along with letting us read things more as opposed to showing us, I definitely feel this author is developing more and more with each new release. She's finding her niche as she goes and I can't wait to see where she takes us next.
Welcome to my blog! I am a new author and I love communicating with readers, so stop in often to hear what is going on!
